A 16.5" viola from melodywithviolin arrived today and it sounds too wonderful for words. I'm baffled as to why the viola is not more popular in the world than it is.

I only found out about violas by chance recently. I'd heard the name before but knew nothing about them. I should have been playing violas for years instead of stumbling across them in my old age.

I have a cello and a violin and of course I love them like members of my family, but the viola is something entirely different and unique. It's like a cello and a violin combined. It's not much larger than a violin but it's just as easy to hold and play.

I can't say much more except 'get a viola if it's the last thing you do'. They are incredibly rich & beautiful sounding and will bring you great joy & happiness
