Hey people! Okay so i've played the cello for almost 5 years now, and I've just been wondering what cello songs other cellist find are the most difficult, the most beautiful, the most fun to play, and the most famous. I'm really curious to what you guys think! So please, do tell.

well i thought "the swan" by Saint-Saens was a beautiful piece
and it's about grade 6 level so you would probably be able to play it. badinerie by Bach was great, so is hungarian dance no. 5 by brahms but it's fiendish cuz there's loads of tempo changes

My favorite cello works would be "Prayer" a movement from Bloch's Jewish Life, and the Faure Elegy. They are both gorgeous works, but challenging in their own rights.

I don't technically play cello, but I almost did, save the fact that I couldn't find an instrument. One of my favorite pieces is Prelude to Unaccompanied Cello Suite No.1 by Bach.

Here's 2
Concerto in G minor for 2 cellos RV-531 by Vivaldi
Tarantella by W.H. Squire
They're both !****! hard to learn but sound amazing when played right. I can send you a link that has the sheet music for the concerto.

Well, I really enjoyed playing Bach's Suite. I thought it was technically challenging and a beautiful piece.
