Can anyone help?

I am an adult and I am 1.59 meters tall (62.6 in). What size should I play the cello:
4/4, 7/8, 3/4 ?

I'm not an expert, but I'd say, that it really depends on the cello. If it is comfortable, don't care about what is written on it. also, I think, that the length of Your fingers is at least so important, as Your height. I suggest You to ask Your teacher to help.

I had an adult cello teacher once who played a 7/8, but my impression is that that's pretty unusual. I don't know how tall she was exactly, but she wasn't very.

If I've done my arithmetic correctly, you're five feet and three inches. That's not especially short for an adult woman. If the rest of you is reasonably proportionate, I'd advise you to play a standard-size cello. (For one thing, at some point in your career you'll have to borrow a cello--either from a shop while your cello is being repaired or from a fellow cellist.)
