I am starting on a Fender Fretless Precision Bass...And i don`t have any money to bay a regular bass so i took this guitar from my dad(He was a bassist but he doesn`t play anymore).I just wanted to ask you about starting on fretless and if anyone actually started on this kind of bass, please tell if it is much harder then starting on a regular...BTW I have Seymore Duncan active electronics(Although i don`t really know what is that `active` thing) and traace eliot amp...Lot`s of people told me that this is a good bass but i really don`t know

its kinda hard starting on almost all stringed instruments, but its easier if they have frets, the fretless are harder because they dont have set areas to help you get the note you want.hope this helped you.
