I'm confused on which to get and which is better. Is an Epiphone SG better or Les Paul studio??
Thanks in advance.

Mmmmm... I love those Les Pauls. In fact I am planning on buying a Les Paul Studio for myself as soon as i scrounge the money. I really can't tell you about the epiphone sg. I never like the sg body, except the doubleneck version. But in terms of sound I would put my money on the Les Paul. I know that the sg is far lighter than the Les Paul if you are worried about weight. Really just play them and try them out and see which ones sound you like more. It is all about personal taste.
Les Paul makes higer quality guitars than epiphone.

I was tired that was meant to say:
Gibson makes better guitars. Ooops.

There are Epiphone Les Paul studio guitars as well. I know the Gibson Les Paul studio is probably way better. But my parents don't want to pay so much.
So are Epiphone Les Paul studio guitars good?
Thanks. ^_^

Les Paul isn't a brand it's a model. An Epiphone Sg is just as good as an Epiphone Les Paul and a Gibson SG is just as good as a Gibson Les Paul, of course depending on the exact model. In this case it's not a matter of quality, it's more a matter of preference. Les Paul's are a lot heavier than SG's, and SG's usually have a brighter tone. It all depends on what suits you best. Good luck.

And about Epiphone Les Paul's, yes, they make good guitars for beginner and intermediate players. Gibson is more of an expert level, but I for one really like Epiphone. I think they sounds good and are basically of pretty good quality.
