Hey, I am beginning the guitar and am having a little trouble strumming. I can do down strokes but I cant do an upstroke and I am using a pick/plectrum. Is there a certain angle to hold the pick? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanx for helping... well I finally figured it out on my own, I was moving my arm the wrong way.
