Hi there im new to this place and hope this is in the right topic.

well I play the piano/keyboard and i dont know how to read music but i play by ear and visual meaning i can see someone play a song slowly and learn to play it that way and by ear i can hear the notes in songs sometimes and play the correct one.

Well ive tried to learn to read music but its just hard for me to understand is there any way i can learn easy with out it sounding to complicated and stuff coz id really love to know how to read music.

I know all the notes on the keyboard and i know all the chords but some im not sure of the names for.
so if any one knows a easy way that i could teach my self to read music with id really appriciate the help.

also another thing is i have troubly playing with two hands like i can but if each hand is playing a completely different tune i cant play them at the same time only on there own.
for example. furelise i can play the first half of that very nicely from learning it on my keyboard it has an LCD display with that song programed into it but the entertainer thats in it too and ive tried playing it but the left hand plays completely different to the right and i get confused right of and hands get muddled up.
Is there anything i can do to help that or dou need to beable to read music in order to play songs like that?

thanks any suggestions u guys have is welcomed.

if u like i can upload a recording of me playing furelise on my keyboard i can record me playing it from that onto my computer.
let me know and i will if u all like. thanks.

You can easily find a site that teaches you music theory which you can learn to read music. But I would strongly recommend a musical theory guide book since they are easier to understand and more informative.

And about the playing two hands together, it was never a problem for me. I think all you need is practice from the very basic. You can send a message to me if you need any help.

Just remember for treble clef, lines going up are EGBDF (Every Good Boy Does Fine), and the spaces are "FACE". For bass clef, the lines going up are GBDFA (Good Boys Do Fine Always), and the spaces are ACEG. Here is a site for practicing reading clefs, there are also ear training and other fun exercises you can do on this site, I use it a lot, I love it!!

First, learn the names of the notes on the piano/keyboard (only the white keys for now), then look at a piece of music. the first line is E, then the space is F, then the line above that is G, etc.. so it produced ABCDEFGABCDEFG...

Or just get a book... that would probably be easier.
