Does anyone know where I can find these etudes? It seems like I've looked everywhere, but with no luck. Is it possible that they aren't even published yet?
I wrote to his publisher about purchasing the sheet music for the Philip Glass Etudes for Piano and received this reply on April 28, 2008:
"Thank you very much for your enquiry. These Etudes are not yet complete. Philip Glass has written 16 of a projected 20 Etudes and they are consequently unavailable to purchase. Philip Glass maintains performance exclusivity on these pieces too. Sorry I cannot be of further assistance."
Best wishes,

Well, they are apparetnly recorded.
There are some people who are very good at listening to recorded music and transcribing the music onto paper.
I am not a big fan of breaking copywritght laws, but when things are not published, or when you have to purchase an entire score for one part I don't think God would object too much - - if you are doing it for yourself and not making money from it.
Thanks to both of you: I have recently found out that they are as of yet not entirely complete, and I do not have the ear, patience, or desire to write out the etudes by hand from a recording! Thanks to both for your help, it is very much appreciated. I will just wait until they are completed, and maybe then will I be able to find a book of Glass's etudes on music store shelves!
