(The worst)
Am I the worst piano player on this forum. Because everyone is talking about the hardest piano piece and stuff like that.And have years of experiance. Could anyone tell me am I quite good on the piano, I`ve been playing for a year now and the hardest songs I can play are fantasy impromptu and a bit of scherzo by scriabin. And I`ve had lessons for 10 months now and my first exam is grade 5, is that good?

Trust me you are not the worst on this forum. I tought myself for about 6months and then was diagnosed with a desease that eats away at your eye. My mom then got me lessons so that I could continue playing. I got lessons from the same man that I had clarinet lessons from. After about two years I was considered completely blind. I now have to learn by listening to someone and memorizing the music. A this point I am barely playing some of the easier classical songs. It takes a long time to learn so I would definately say That you are way better then me and you have been working in a shorter period then I have. Just have fun adn keep practicing.

I`m only another dumb ass but I finally learned to take only a measure or two and get that down. Before I was always trying to learn a piece by going over and over a large part of it many times- wondering why I wasn`t making much progress.

thanx Jay but it really is sthe luv for the music that keeps me working hard. you really have to have the heart to play music and succeed at it. Plus even some people like me can mess up really bad. For Districts they said that you could do the solo part angain as long as you did not get half way through it we I needed that second time because I got nervous and messed up in the beginning so I had to start over. The best part is that you don`t have to do sight reading.

No, I`m the worst. I don`t have a keyboard yet. Hahahaha!!!!
Seriously, I kind of broke my Yamaha several months ago after practicing only 3 weeks. I just ordered a Casio. Anyway, I can play like Jingle Bells and stuff like that. That`s it.

I have a question though. I am not trying to be mean but how did you break your keyboard? I have never had that problem except with my clarinet when one year after I got it my brother accidentally knocked it out of my hand and the mouthpiece hit the flour and chipped.

i`ve been playing the piano for amost 8 years and my grade is only .............3rd grade in piano.......
can you belive it........what a loser
but i say to my self ``at least i know how to play it``

I would not say that that is bad because I am right there with you. I have been playing for only a short time but I am having a really big problem learning the music. It is a lot harder to memorize piano music then other music like clarinet music. It takes me forever and takes me like double the time to learn a piece. Sometimes I wish that I was not blind so I could play as much as I wanted and I would be like all the other people in the band again.

holy shiit! you taught urself for 5 months out of the 10 months! and ur already at grade 5!
it took me almost 5 years to get to grade 5!!! (i didnt practise though because i was really younge but yah) you haveto be some sort of aprodaji(cant spell at all lol) wow! just keep doing whatever ur doing! who knows, in 10 more months you could be already beating me! wow!
