i would go with the pearl harbors becuz i think that they are the best kind of drums and to me the snare drums that are made with pearl last the longest

Im way late to this blog but nobody has said gretsch. I`ve been playing drums now for six years and the American custom mapel drums are by far way better than any pearl set! in fact I`ve played with many pearl kits and it seems that they dont last or hold up so don`t waist your money!

These are good brands, but Pearl is a bit overrated. mapex has always seemed to meet my fancy. The heads they come with arne't bad, either.
