I just made percussion this year in 8th grade{im so happy,{i used to play the alto sax}} and I when I tried out in sixth grade I just had one thought in my mind... seeing the movie "Drumline"! But I was suprised when I found out that Percussion plays EVERYTHING!! {that is what makes it so hard and fun!} Where you suprised when you found out that it wasn't just drums?!

 So you found out that percussion isn't just drums!!! Well when I started percussion a few years ago I was already pretty into it and knew that I wasn't learning drums (our school doesn't have a drums teacher, the brass teacher taught percussion). But I was surprised at the number of instruments in percussion, there are heaps that our band uses for nearly every piece plus heaps that aren't used much!!

yeah,ive been in perccusion since 6th grade.and there are just to much stuff.like cowbell,crash cymbals,suspened cymbal,wood block,snare,base,bells,marimba.now in 8th grade hoging the snare.

not any more  our school band kinda broke up after our teacher left and most of its members have now graduated. i now play trombone in it though. it's full of beginners! lol i've been playing trom for about a year and a half now and i'm the most experienced in the band. i play drums at my church sometimes though.
