I do believe they are a beginners kit. How much do you want to spend? If I were you, I would stick with a know name brand like Yamaha, Pearl, DW, Ludwig ect. I bougnt a kit off eBay that I had never heard of and it wasn't very good. Hope that helps.

i bought a new pulse 5 piece a few years back and its still in great condition, i just wanted better heads and stuff for it
