Titan is the name National music supply uses. They are really called Rockland. Put Rockland in your browser & click on th Ktj music link & they sell them for about $550.00. They are very good for what you pay.

All you have to do is put some new heads on all of them and theyre good sounding drums for theyre price. Titans are no DW`s but theyre good for any beginner or intermediate.

I`ve noticed they`ve got 3 different series of drumsets, the most expensive (although still not that expensive) has all maple shells and heavier duty hardware (which looks comparable to a yamaha stage series or middle of the road pearl) has anyone played on one of titan`s better sets?

actually, looking at some pictures of the Rockland drums, based on the lugs and mounts, I pretty sure the first set I had was this brand. although mine was cheaper than the M series and from the late 80s, once you replace the heads, It`s a pretty nice set for the price (got it for $200 slightly used). I wouldn`t pay $550 for one. Note, they are also wrap drums (like most cheaper kits) meaning they have a plastic wrapped finish on them, and not a stained/laquered finish like the better ones.

Ok i got a titan set a few years ago its a 7 piece and i only paid about 300 for it. I just got my 2nd titan set. A "M5" mapel set VARY nice for the money, about $350. Put new heads and cymbals and you have your self a nice little set. The 1st set i got is hard to tune but with the right heads and tuneing it right its nice.

my friend purchased the maple titan drum set on ebay and I thought it was pretty good. He told me I could get one for a steal on ebay. I was searching on ebay for a maple drum set and ran accross a company called Vex Drums. There maple set looked too good to be true. I bought the blue fade drum set from them and when my friend and I compared which drum set was better, mine came out on top by a long shot. It had better heads, hardware, pedal, lacquer finish, and not to mention it came with a thone, extras and cymbals unlike the titan. Hope this helped.

I just fouind this post.... Im hoping the Titans are at least halfway decent sounding.... I just ordered the 7 piece set...... I got away from playing 10 years ago and wanted to start playing again and seeing that I had an 8 piece set before wanted more drums than a 5 piece so thought Id try it......

Like to hear more comments from actual owners if anyone out there has the set

Thanks

Are the guitars they sell good also? I am thinking about getting a set that comes with an amp and case for around $240

I just got my set the other night, from National Music Supply. Seems the newer sets come with Remo Heads and it sounds pretty good. I bought the 7 piece in Silver. I was very impressed with the quality of the hardware and drums overall. I am however dissappointed with the snare! Seems very cheap compared to the rest of the set. I probably replace it with a nice DW someday soon. Overall, great set for the price!
