the sign i'm talking about is like a percent sign, it as all through the song and i dont know what it is and i need to know by the time i present tomorrow in class!! Please someone help me!!!

AKA Simile marks. The preceding groups of beats or measures are to be repeated. Sometimes that sign will have a number written above it, which tells you how many of the preceding measures to play.
