my section leader is an****. srry but its true. he completly abuses his power as section leader. I CANT STAND HIM! HE IS AN EGOTISTICAL ****!......any advise on how to deal with him?

My son has the same problem in his band. My advice to him, don't listen to him unless he is right. Abuse of power generally gets noticed by a director eventually. If you screw up and he assigns pushups or laps, OK, you deserve them.

But if he is just a jerk, ignore him until HE loses it. That will keep YOU from losing it. It takes patience, but more often than not, it works.

Who is stronger the lion-tamer or the cage full of lions?

If this section leader were a jerk it would only take a coordinated effort of the section to emasculate him. Say "no" together and see what happens.

Just try to ignore him when you can and when he trys to stare you down or something just smile and act like u dont care. My section leader thinks she can do that too just because i am a freshman and she is a senior.
