what is the best way to growl on Tenor sax?

The trick to growling on a Tenor is to learn to hum while you blow. You will feel a lot of back pressure so it can be a bit hard to control at first. Practice with patience!

i can purr with my throat, and do that into the sax. i guess that doens`t help much. i`m not much of a describer
