What sax and brand do you play? I play Tenor and I am lucky enough to have a Selmer Mark VI.

I play an Antigua alto, and was never aware that there are any "new" Mark VI`s.

You might be thinking of a Reference 54 it is the remake of the mark VI, but the mark VI hasn`t been made for awhile, hence the cost of one. BTW I use a Yanagisawa T901 and A991.

Yeah, Selmer stopped making Mark VI`s. That`s why they are so expensive. They also produce a very nice sound. And mine is very old, its dented and slightly rusted in some places. I really don`t know how old it is, as I am not the one who origanally bought it. I`ve had it for around 5 years now, and before I was playing on an ol` cheap Bundy.

Hate to be the barer of bad news but cannonballs are awful, just awful horns. For God's sake, the first thing you should do is throw that mouthpiece in the garbage and get a c* it will help the hideous sound that it produces some.

I play Buescher's C Melody sax from the True Tone series and 1a series. Best sax I've ever played.
