Honestly, I didn't know them, and what they meant to classical saxophone until I got into college.

I knew which school I was studying in high school but didn't really understand all the differences until my freshman year of college because I switched to Rascher when I got to college. Then I switched BACK to Mule and to my teacher from H.S. when I transferred.

One of the things that my saxophone professor taught me is that he studied with Eugene Rousseau. Rousseau studied with Marcel Mule. And I believe it was Mule who studied at the first French school of saxophone.
I may have my facts mixed up a bit. But it's kind of neat to see how I kind of fit in there.

My teacher when I was studying Rascher took from a guy who took from Rascher himself.
