I am thinking of getting a jupiter 500 series alto saxophone.

are they any good?? (FOR A BEGINNER)

Go for a Kohlert Alto Sax, $399.00 Musicians Friend, and you can't go wrong. I'm a newbie and I can already hit the high notes (no leaks). This is one high quality horn.

I would also suggest a Yamaha 23. They might be a bit on the higher side, but are much worth it in the end.
