has anyone ever named their instrument?
i have a friend who named her trombone 'Susie'
and my bari sax was named 'Fred' after my best friends mom made
fun of me because i was sucking on the mouth peice, trying to
keep my reed wet (use your imagination, whats that resemble?)
anyhow i was just wondering if anyone names their instruments,
and i sort of wanna name my tenor but i dunno what to call him.
plus these types of forums are fun to reply to

I've never named my instument nor have I ever considered its gender...

My friend has a Yamaha flute named Pearl, a resin piccolo named Onyx, and a wooden piccolo named Amber (but I think that "Woody" would have been more appropriate!)

to triforce: how about you call him Shiny? if he doesnt like it then he can change it later in his life w/ permission from the government. lol  ...or you could just think for two seconds and come up with a better name than the one i did!

Yeah, well, you cant pick starsweeper, its mi tenorz naime. You should name it based on whatever you feel is unique to your instrument. (maybe the smell) lol. go tenors. wooh.
