Greetings !
I know this topic was brought up once or twice before, but I didn't get the information i wanted.
Some people choose to name their saxaphones and I find this really cool!! I want to name my saxaphone too. It's an alto.
Should I give it a female name (im a boy) or the same gender as me?
I would greatly appreciate if anyone could suggest a few names to name my horn.
Thank you!
A.

Give Adolf Sax the respect he deserves and spell saxophone correctly before giving it a name.

I named my sax Felix. He is my alto sax (Yamaha YAS 62II). I chose Felix because it means "happiness" and "luck" in Latin.
I don't think it really matters what gender it is. I just thought of a name and what it means, and then realized it was a boy's name.
Try naming it in a different language or have a cool meaning behind the name. If you need help, I can get you some Latin-related names (yes, if you haven't figured it out by now, I do take Latin in school).
Hope this helps!!

Mine is named Loaner... because at my old band our saxes would keep breaking and they would give us "loaners"
