Help with soprano

heres my back story......I started out on soprano (yes i know bad) then I moved to alto at the request of my 7th grade band director to me...I played my alto throughout the whole of 9th grade marching season. Now I want to play soprano in jazz band if not this year then next, but I want to work on 2 things:

-Tone everyone says that they are out of tune, I assume I am but I don't know

-Palm keys that would be my biggest problem I can't play above a high B with out difficulty.

Any tips to help with either?
