okay right now i am in the regular band playing two of the schools instruments (Bari sax and bassoon).
Recently i had to play a piece called which made me play a G for a long period of time...but the problem was when i played the forte piano the G went up an octave.
Another problem with the saxophone is that the d (not low, and not super high) squeals constantly.
Whenever i take this into meyer music (local music store) it is the same as it was!!! Please tell me what the problem is, i want this to be fixed so that i don't squeal during marching or pep band next year!

Ya need a thicker reed, i play bari in band and i get the same problem, but all you need is a thicker reed.
