Hi members, I have the chance to buy the saxophones on the picture on a live auction. I am looking for an expert who can estimate the value (apporixmately) or tell me which models they are. All information I have is the brand name "Selmer" and this picture: http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/7939/p1030269ws7.jpg
I might sell them on ebay.

I would be really thankful to receive information about the saxophones.

Greetings from Germany.

Well, the one on the left is an Alto and the one on the right is a Tenor. They both seem to have full plataues.

Can't tell if they leak or not.
Can't really see if everything is aligned properly.

I can tell you this. In the music instrument field and other fields of interest (cars, houses, etc) I find that people who are not experts who try to turn or flip what they think are "good deals" end up losing more money than they invest and upset other people when they end up selling someone else something they think is great that is not.

If you are serious about getting the instruments for yourself to play, then it would be worth it to hire a professional to inspect the instruments and bid on them for you. Decide how much you want to spend, pay him or her for their time and give them a bonus of X amount of money for every dollar they save you.
