I`m trying to find a new mouthpiece for my tenor sax. Preferably a jazz one since I only play saxophone in the jazz band. If anyone plays on one or knows of a decent type please let me know. Thanks.

well, i tried the Guardala King mpc, its deep and sultry...the links are pretty awesome too....if you wanna spend 600 bucks (which i wouldnt even though the mpc is good) the Sugals are really bright and cut through electric instruments well..

I think the Rico Royal Grafonite mouthpieces look ok. They are cheap to buy and come in a wide range of sizes. So you could buy a few different sizes over time till you find the size that works best for you.

You need to state what your price range is, new or used, and how aggressive or mellow you want to sound,
both in terms of edge and volume. Also, the tip opening will be larger for the aggressive, edgy piece, and smaller for the mellow piece, using the same hardness reed and embouchure effort. Hence, you should also mention what reeds (& strengths) and mouthpieces (& tip openings) you are comfortable with now, and whether you can control note pitch or not, and to what extent you need to.

Sorry to be difficult, but you asked a way too open ended question (no pun intended ) to get an adequate answer.
