Hey, I found an earlier thread that was closed. It asked about the music that people were playing during marching season.
I thought it was interesting and realized that it was from last year, so I decided to make a new topic for this season!
So, to start things off, our director thought she was being clever since the Olympics started yesterday (August 7th) and we're playing Olympic music.
The pieces are Olympic Fanfare and Theme, Olympic Spirit, and Summon the Heroes.

Apparently I live under a rock. They did start yesterday, but yesterday was the 8th... I don't feel smart....

We're doing Billy Joel this year. We have New York State of Mind, Pressure, Lullaby and Captain Jack for our show.
It seems somewhat promising

wow, the version that I played of that was extremely difficult, I couldn't imagine marching that, lol
We have jesus christ superstar (yeah!), masquerade, fantasmic (part 3?), and pinball wizard (the who)
Our marching routine this year is actually quite difficult!
I do love the song play that funky music though, lol
If I could have chose marching songs, I wuld have chosen some intereting songs, like... Thriller, Stairway to heaven, Baby O' Reilly, and even Cherry Pie, all intense songs!
