Hi guys,well im finally gonna go buy a Tenor and get back into playing,i used to play in highschool Jazz band a looong time ago,im 43 and still remember some notes,scales, but i LOVE the sound of the sax and im ready to start playing again so, first question,whats one of the best Tenors? i want a pro tenor so i want need to upgrade later,,and whats the best way to learn? should i hire a private instructor? i really want to get going with this! appreciate all advice,thank you.

one way to go (this is how i learned all my instruments but one )just go out buy the books get music and scales off line and teach yourself and if you feel u should get an instructor go for it

Thanks for replying,,ya im gonna just go buy a sweet Tenor and try some books and then call up some diff instructors and see what they say,, i just wish i did this earlier,but like that saying goes "better late than never" lol.
