im in 1oth grade and have been playing sax for 8 years, but i still dont know how to circular breath or to play alissimo. These techniques are essential to me because i also play other woodwinds. thanks

If you want to learn circular breathing start without the horn and just use the mouthpiece/neck....also even before that hold your hand out and see if you can keep the air moving. If you unsure of the actual technique reply or e mail me and i`ll go over it in detail.

Altissimo is all about voicing, you need to be able to control overtones etc. Read the Sinta book (out of print, unfortunetly) or maybe the rashcer book. It may take time but learn it right and pieces like Albright won`t be nearly as hard as people make them out to be. Also if you play stuff like Lauba with a lot of multiphonics voicing will be key.
