If i remenber correctly, Elkhart Ind. was the original sax factory, if that helps any. Of course, if im wrong, then someone will probably post calling me an idiot. do you like it?

Possible, though the only elkharts i`m accquinted with are the ancient ones, so i couldn`t tell you, onless your refering to yours as an ancient one, in which case i need to do more research

Can you tell me the serial number, and do you know if it has saudered or rolled tones holes? Then I can look it up for you. (all I really need is the serial number)

oh, what i`ve found is that the series II was realeased in 1987, so it probably has all good modern things and rolled tone holes. It has a High F# key? thats good. i`ll look up more

well, elkhart hasn`t realeased anything new in 17 years or so, but this is where I get really confused with all the history and stuff. I`ve read selmer was the first sax factroy, but it was in elkhart indiana, and used names like Pann american, buescher, and was bought by selmer, which bought conn to???? it`s confusing, and im trying to work it out, but i think your sax is good, though the player makes the sax either way. more info to follow i hope, if this topic is deleted, then just post another.

Here is a site that may help a little bit. It seems that Conn at least lost thier rolled tone holes and microtuners, but I don`t know about Elkhart, though are they the same company??? I don`t think so, but I need to look into it more. Meanwhile, here is the site for you to look around in http://www.saxgourmet.com/conn__saxophones.htm
