if i understand correctly transposing means you shift all the notes down
until they are in the required key?
so if i found a song on the sax that i liked i could drop all the notes down
and it would be right to play on the saprano recorder?
If you're reading from sax music, I recommend leaving the notes where they are, as the sax's written (not concert) range is very close to that of the recorder.
However, if you want them both to be in the same concert key, then you should transpose the sax music up a minor 3rd.
