I am considering to buy a cheap wood alto recorder, of which brand is Frederick...
The following youtube link is video clip of the Frederick recorder.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8EdeN9uKvc

But, the clip plays only low notes, so I hesitate to buy it..
High notes may not be played with the recorder...

Does anybody has a experience of playing the Frederick recorder?
If so, please give me the opinion of it.

p.s. I have currently yamaha 300 series.

I listened to the clip - it sounds like a perfectly good recorder, but you don't say how much he is asking for it, so I couldn't really comment whether this was a good buy. There is no certainty you would receive the actual recorder he is playing on, of course.

The Yamaha instruments are pretty good & you have to pay much more to get a wooden one that sounds better.
