The difference between German and Baroque fingering is that the different fingering for low F, low F # and 2nd octave F, F# and G#. English fingering is the same as Baroque fingering. The most common student brands in America are Aulos and Yamaha.

we have tried several and our favorite is a tudor 205 and they can be purchased on Ebay including postage for under 9 dollars including fingering chart. Also a good way to learn is with sheet music that includes the CD for play a long. what ever no matter how much squaking don`t give up it is a lot of fun. The squeeking etc noises generally come from not having he holes covered.
