i am primarily a musician, but am looking to involve myself more in actually singing, i have tried, and when im just singing along to a song i think i sound fine, but when i record myself and listen back it sounds REALLY flat, almost monotonous, is this something i can work on, or am i stuck with not being able to sing?

Im the same way. I hate how I sound recorded but most of the time...it isnt you. The quality of your recording may not be right for the sound you are trying to make. Just take that into consideration.

Try Brett Manning's singing success program at www.singingsuccess.com It worked wonders for me! Another option is Seth Riggs' book "Singing for the Stars" available at amazon.com
