Is there any sort of rough translation of the difficulty ratings on this site (beginner, easy, intermediate, advanced) into the grade levels (Grades I, II, III, IV, V, VI) often used(at least in the US)?

well very roughly I would say
beginner = easier than grade 1
easy= grade 1
intermediate = grade 2-5
advanced= grade 5 and above

Hope that helps
