When we play accompaniment on the piano, the continuous sound is DO-MI-SOL-DO. But the divided sound is DO-SOL-MI-SOL. So this(DO-SOL-MI-SOL) is good to play when we can count the notes by the tempo for one phrase into half and half division like the puzzle.

So, the question is just a pattern?

DO-MI-SOL-DO is just C-major triad, in the simpliest pattern.
