What's the e-flat concert major for F mello? This will be my first season on an F mello. I marched clarinet for 2 years and a B-flat Mellophone for 1 season. So I only know the those concert scales?
which major scale is the e-flat concert major?
peace
musically,
Courtney

For a horn (or mellophone) in F its C sounds F below. Thus to sound Eb you need to go down two semi-tones from C to Bb.

Its technically a perfect 5th but I was hesitant about using such technical terms since they are not intuitive for new players. I also considered 7 semi-tones but its 8 inclusive semi-tones ... more scope for confusion!
