I'm looking to get a new mouthpiece for my horn and I'm torn between a Laskey 725G and a 75G. Currently, I play on a Holton Farkas MC, with somewhat of a small rim diameter. My band director suggested that I move to a larger mouthpiece because I have medium-large lips. When I play, my mouthpiece is positioned only on my lips and not on the skin around the lips. I'm afraid that a larger diameter mouthpiece would cause me to have to change my embouchure setup due to more mouthpiece contact on the skin around my lips, yet I still want a mouthpiece big enough to accommodate my lips. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on which of the two mouthpieces to get? Would the larger, 75G be better in my scenario? Thanks.

I used to play a 75g until I discovered I was reacting to it. Stainless steel only now. I have medium lips (or so I'm told) and that worked great, I had an 80g that I sold to a student who has pretty full lips. She loves that mouthpiece, moving from a Farkas DC.
