The previous recording (TWIRL) by the group AOMUSIC was embraced by radio programmers and it went Top 5 on the international Zone Music Reporter monthly airplay chart. Now AOMUSIC returns with their new CD, ...AND LOVE RAGES ON!, another musical feast. AOMUSIC uses vocals like additional instruments. Mostly the vocals -- by world-renowned singer Miriam Stockley, stringman Richard Gannaway and children’s choirs from all over the world -- are vocalese or wordless vocals (sometimes layered). Scattered throughout are various syllables taken from Polynesian, Gaelic and Swedish languages plus some African bantu, ancient Mayan, Chinese and English words here and there. But primarily the voices should be listened to for their emotional content. Beyond the vocals, the music is incredibly-produced, very-full arrangements with all kinds of sounds including ethnic instruments blended with synthesizers, and very upbeat world-beat percussion and rhythms. The music works together with the global vocals to get a subtle “we are one” message across. This is truly international, planetary, world music of the highest caliber.
