Okay, folks - if you are a performer, what was the first musical you did? If you are an avid audience member, what was the first musical you saw? Or both, if you'd like!

The first musical I performed in hooked me forever - I was a 13 year old high school freshman who somehow mustered up the courage to audition for "Annie Get Your Gun." I was cast, and played three roles in the chorus, which meant three costumes, and three complete makeup changes: Young Girl Townsperson, Society Woman, and Mrs. Black Tooth, a member of Colonel Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. I remember I got whacked in the mouth in field hockey, and we changed my name to Mrs. Broken Tooth!
I've been doing musicals ever since...and this was 1970!

My first actual musical that I have seen was "The Music Man", but my first and only Broadway show so far is "The Producers". I'm planning on trying out for our musical for school next year (our director even wants me to sing, but I've never sang in front of anyone before).

the first musical i ever really saw was a highschool production of "jekyll and hyde"-
and i knew theatre would be my lifes love from that moment.
the first real musical in NYC was "wicked" or "the phantom of the opera"- same night. phantom was amazing<3, & wicked's great, but the cast was horrible! sopranos cast as altos and vice versa...not great. but whatever, my fiyero was amazing(:
i was "in" my first musical this past summer, as a tech and a [chorus] stenog in thoroughly modern millie.

i haven't been to any musicals(like really good, live on stage musicals) but i have been in about 4 now. the first one was alice in wonderland in 2003( dont know if it counts but it was a musical script and score, i was tigerlily, the talking flower), annie in 2005 (i was mrs hannigan and my voice changed so much that year that i barely recognised it at the end of the year) and then when i started highschool last year ( we do musicals every year) i was a chorus member for that, and we did the three musketeers this year, where i was a member of the choir(?) and a singing, dancing, whipping nun(... dont ask) but i love musicals and i love learning songs from musicals. in voice this year alone, i've learnt at least 3 musical songs: seasons of love from rent, roxie from chicago and unexpected song from song and dance. i s2 musicals and music.
