Hey everyone. I assume you're either reading this because you believe that you have a creative mind, or you are simply curious. If its one or both of the two, then your help is welcome!!
See, the thing is, me and my band of musical loving geeks are completely set in making a Harry Potter musical, named The Sound of Magic, which may or may not be serious, depending on the outcome.
I'm interested in including some original music, but also parodying a few well known selections and changing the words around to suite the story.
If any of you have any good ideas for parody songs, please state the name, and which book it would be best suited to (if you're in two minds about the book choice, feel free to put more than one.)
Some ideas I have had are:
One Short Day (in Diagon Alley)
No One Mourns the Dark Lord
Good Morning Voldemort
Do Re Mi (but suited to Wing-Gar-Di-Um Le-Vi-O-Sa)
Hah, this seem's like such a good musical, i'd deffinentally audition for it if it ever becomes successful .
Well, i'm not to sure if this would work but maybe 'The Meanest Kids At Hogwarts' reffering to maybe Malfoy and his group of slytherins? and its taking off the song 'Nicest Kids In Town' from Hairspray.
Sure, if it gets 'serious' then I will certainly give Mrs Rowling a ring! But at the moment, its just a fun experiment, and probably won't much further than the confines of a hand-held home camera.
By the way, the suggestions so far have been excellent!
