Turmpet is harder to start its like a hill oncee you master the basics its easyer for sax when you learn its kind of hard but not very but hard AFTER you masterd the basiscs at first galnce sax is way easier but the only people who say that only played them about 2 years or less in the long run saxaphones harder in the begining turmpets harder. overall sax is harder.

I`m in 7th grade and I play saxaphone, and I think it`s easier to play the saxaphone, because unless ur embochure sux eggs, you`re gonna get a sound out, and with the trumpet, you really have to have the exact embochure to get the right sound...really the only hard thing about sax is being able to get the sounds out...that`s fairly hard...

the sax is alot easier then the trumpet, alot think that beacuse there are only 3 buttons it doesnt mean its easier then the sax because there are alot more, i play the saz and my friend tried the trumpet and now is on the sax. the trumpet you need strong muscle in your jaw and you need to tighten your lips and loosen then blow harder and softer to get one note

it`s the same learning trumpet and learning sax, beacuse in the sax, you could`t get the real sound, and the jazz sound. However, in the trumpet, it`s very dificult to make the high sound, and the positions are dificult...

Trumpet is harder to learn in the begining than saxophone but I am tired of hearing about how easy saxophone emboucher is. Anyone can skawk out a note in 5 minutes on either instrument. Saxophone emboucher takes a very long time to perfect not to mention with every reed it will change significantly. On saxophones certain notes often are naturally a little flat or a little sharp and you do have to compensate and tighten or loosen your emboucher. Granted not as much as trumpets of course but they change entire notes. There are also dozens of techniques to learn on the saxophone. The hardest thing about a saxophone is learning to put emotion in your sound because that is really what makes the instrument for me.NEVER decide what instrument to play based on easyness.
