I tried doing it once on a tune I threw together for a school project. It sounded pretty funny.

i do it, i can play Ben's Blues, Hola Senor Loco, a bunch of stuff.
and to the trumpet guy, thats mean. it depends on the player.
because, yes, recorder is one of the most annoying instruments when its not played nicely. but its pretty cool when it is.

I was told in the flute forum that flute is also not a premiere jazz instrument, recorder is not far from a flute, so why couldn't a recorder do jazz? It's done rock, and it's done blues, why not jazz? Everytime someone says something can't be done, someone else proves it can be done, and maybe has it's place after all. So, my answer and vote is YES to jazz on a recorder.
Prove it to me that you can't first, not that you can. Can I say I can't stand anyone who says I can't. I think I can! ;-)
