Nice tone 'n' all. Do you get to sing much with live musos and in front of live audiences? Your approach would suggest all-round entertainer rather than "mere" vocalist, and the main thing in that regard (imho) is going to be "flying-hours!"
Are you able (location, $$$ and age-wise) to get into gigs to see other performers perform? CDs and vids are great, but live is best! "Ringside" seats ... even better!!
He's down at the Unity Hall Hotel in Balmain fairly often. Some Friday nights, some Sunday afternoons, and approx once a month on a Sunday night with his big band. He generally has a loose, swinging style, but he's got the technical voice thing down pretty well. Almost fell over backwards when he broke into an operatic aria one time.
