Any other huge singer/songwriter fans out there? I always appreciate listening to something I love AND is ok to listen to with my kids. Rob Thomas, Howie Day, Peter Gabriel, Train, Tyler Hilton, the list goes on and on! Our new favorite is this guy Jonathan Clark…we listened to his whole album on his site, now I just can’t wait to buy the real thing when it comes out soon. “Take a little Trip” is a lot of fun and I got “I’ll Be there” as a free download on jonathanclarkmusic.com!
i think ashley tisdale is a great artist! she's one of the stars of high school musical and suite life on the disney channel so im sure you're kids will know who she is. she has a new cd coming out this month which is more pop/rock but i love all the new songs ive heard so far. try listening to "it's alright, it's okay" or "masquerade."
It's not really "rockin" but it is pretty modern. You should check out owl city. It's one guy, and he does everything, plus, all his songs are clean (and don't have suggestive lyrics). I really hate listening to songs with inappropriate content, so I mostly listen to classical, but Owl city is pretty good.
yeah, ashley's first album is more bubble gum pop than her new one. i think she's trying to reach a wider audience instead of her normal fan base which are all the fans she gained through high school musical. but i think her songs from her new cd, guilty pleasure, are still fun. but thanks for the recommendation i'll check them out.
