According to the Magazine Hit Parader, Iron Maiden is better than Pearl Jam (for those who care about what magazines care even though this magazine has good critics who know about music because they are musicians) but i want to know what everybody thinks about this.

In my opinion Iron Maiden kicks Pearl Jams ass by alot, instrumentally, lyrically, and vocally.

Dude who the f**k is that magazine? I mean who are they? I follow music & know of most music magazines, ive never heard of them... congratulations, one f-ing magazine said Iron Maiden is better than Pearl Jam..

Rolling Stone magazine said Pearl Jam is better than Iron Maiden, why does it matter?

Also, this comparison is shabby & not really fair... Pearl Jam has been around only half as long.. Iron Maiden has released more studio albums... why not compare Iron Maiden to the Cure? theyve been around about the same amount of time, its a fair match

Anyway.. even though Iron Maiden has been around twice as long... I think Pearl Jam`s music has had a bigger effect on culture & musical significance, is more widely known worldwide.. & will be more remembered.

If Iron Maiden never existed... there still wouldve been Judas Priest... if Pearl Jam never existed..? What then? Theres no one like them, there wouldve been no replacement or another band to fill the void.. unlike Iron Maiden with Judas Priest

Dude have you heard Judas Priest, its nothing like Iron Maiden, Nothing sounds like Iron Maiden, now Pearl Jam has alot grunge followers that sound like them and by the way dont forget Nirvana, you may not like them but their still would be a void filler like you call them even though they dont sound the same, so its the same when you say Judas Priest is a void filler for Iron Maiden, it just doesnt go.

And Iron Maiden is much more known than Pearl Jam. Every body has seen that logo and the mascot Eddie, plus who hasnt heard the trooper or the number of the Beast, but still who hasnt heard Jeremy, but Iron Maiden i believe is more known because of its image, maybe in the music they are known just as much.

Plus i wouldnt trust the opinions of a magazine who puts Britney and Christina on there covers. go to Hit Parader.com and see a magazine that specializes on rock/metal.

Look, dipsh!t - I`m not talking about the USA audience only, I am talking worldwide - How much albums has Iron Maiden sold? Ok.. multiply that by about 4.. that`s how many more albums Pearl Jam has sold in the half time theyve existed compared to Maiden

Record sales dont determine quality of music.. but they DO determine how well-known an artist is - Pearl Jam has sold about 65 million albums worldwide... about 30 million albums in the USA

Which means Pearl Jam has sold about 35 million albums in countries OTHER than the USA. Which is more alone than how many albums Iron Maiden has sold worldwide.. INCLUDING USA.

You can like Iron Maiden more than Pearl Jam, but trying to argue that Iron Maiden is better known is just stupid. Just straight up stupid.

You have no idea the incredible amount of fans Pearl Jam has in South America (theyre more popular there than in the USA) - or fans in Africa; Australia; Europe & Japan. You`ve deeply underestimated how famous they are.

You`re more likely to find someone who owns the album `Ten` than someone who can name just one Iron Maiden song off the top of their head. Deal with it.

How many kids walking around in Iron Maiden tshirts actually listen to Iron Maiden on a regular basis? Theyre wearing those shirts because, yes, Eddie does look cool, & theyre trying to show off to older people that theyre a "true" metalhead.
