1.Dirt-Alice in Chains everything that grunge is supposed to sound like:depressing,great melodies, great musicianship, loud but not to loud this album is very underated thanks to Ten and Nevermind released a year earlier

2.Nevermind-Nirvana come on guys On A Plain is one of the most melodic, versatile, different, and catchy songs of the grunge era. Just knowing that Cobain was writing most of these straight out his soul is enough to like this album. Don't say its a horrible album just because everyone recognizes Teen Spirit right at first and think they know Nirvana or grunge They're posers man Everyone knows its one heck of an album

3.Ten-Pearl Jam don't have a fret because it was a hard decision putting this album behind Nevermind Its better musically but I don't think Nevermind is more grunge Ten is a little bit fluffier. But what an album though! Black and Release almost made me cry just the way Vedder wrenches out his vocal cords with so much passion Every song is a gem and a great album to play all the way through. Jeremy and Alive have some awesome guitar tone and riffs

4.Badmotorfinger-Soundgarden this is 100X better than Superunknown For one thing, Cornell wails like nothing else He is voice is undeniably amazing This album is so driving and just so cool Rusty Cage Outshined Searching With My Good Eye Closed Jesus Christ Pose This is one of the peek albums of grunge, not to mention metal of hard rock whatever you what to call it This album was also covered up by Nevermind and Ten but everyone should know Superunknown isn't their only good album or even their best for that matter

5. Rubber Soul- Beatles even though people denie it this is definitely grunge Just kidding

5.Sap- AiC oh man this is one of the most underated acoustic albums of forever everysong is great except for that bonus track which is the craziest thing in the world. Anyone who likes grunge or AiC needs to at least check this one out. Chris Cornell comes in and just wails on Right Turn. Got Me Wrong is one heck of a song with a thousand hooks Please anyone thats anyone needs to check this one out or own or something Its soft and mellow tottaly differnt from Dirt which is cool

6.In Utero - Nirvana raunchy , crazy, gut wrenching music This is the ultimate studio recording where Cobain brings everything hes got wheather its good or bad Just because of that you've got to respect All Apologies is probably the most beautiful song he wrote guitar and all Heart-Shaped Box has a very simple guitar solo. But do know why it rocks, because of tone and emotion man You feel that emotion being pressed out of that guitar Tone is the key. Notes are only important if you're Dream Theater

I know theres more that I'd like to write about: Nirvana Unplugged, Core by Stone Temple Pilots, Superunknown, Gish and Siamese Dream by Smashing Pumpkins, but I'm really tired of typing

<Added>

I meant that Nevermind is more grunge than Ten. sorry

I love all those albums. apart from the beatles one. but thats cos I have no beatles. Ten is PJs best album, Badmotor screams ledzep/sabbath influence (both two bands I love almost as much as SG). Out of the AiC albums I prefer facelift, I don't know why. One of my friends likes Dirt, another likes their self titled album. Inutero is my favourite Nirvana album, along with their unplugged stuff. But Im surprised that you didn't mention Temple of the Dog. A collection of soundgarden and pearl jam members(probably the best vocals cornell ever did)! It ROCKS! If you don't have it you need it

I'm overjoyed to see that you put Led Zeppelin II on the list. Most idiot posers who say they like Zeppelin don't take time to listen to this forgotten gem. As far as most of your other choices, you might need to rethink some of them. At least one if not two or three more Zeppelin albums need to be on there. Its not cause I'm obsessed with Zeppelin, but they released solid album after album, all of which are better than Nevermind, and all your Beatles albums.

Smoke, I'm not gonna put all my led zep albums on the list. YES I love them all, but I could say the same about my Soundgarden or Pearl Jam collections. I wanted to keep my list simple so I only included my most favourite Zeppelin albums. AND your not honestly saying that 'Presence' beats all Nirvana and Beatles are you? Achilles is a good song, but that album isn't that good.
