Well what passes for being able to say you "play guitar"? I mean anyone who learns 3 chords in 1 day can rightfully say they "play guitar". It doesn't mean you don't still suck at it.

he claims he plays guitar for quite some time but i guess all you play is pearl jams easy music to play.
i play guitar to pal, started out by learning metallica pantera and maiden solos almost 8 years ago when i started getting into metal, and when i formed a band with my friend some of them wanted to cover pearl jam and other grunge crap and it was so easy to do it after playing metal all my time.
know i play yngwie and but my sweeping is getting better so i can play petrucci and other more complicated stuff
