True. I have to agree that most indie is crap. I just like Bloc Party and the Killers. Most other Indie bands are junk.

i'm really loving this band from minneapolis called Tapes 'n Tapes right now. they are so good! kinda a cross between the pixies & something never before done.
another of my current favorites is The Dirty Projectors. jeff buckley-esque but weird & new. you guys should check them out!

Yeah I'm with Troublenomore because I always thought Indie was just short for independent from a label. Groups that are not on a label are indie, so even a country group can be considered Indie. Correct me if i'm wrong

indie is the most increibly pretensious form of rock music that has ever existed and its not even backed up with instrumental skill and intelligient lyrics like other forms of pretensious music like heavy metal and prog rock
