first off, who cares if anything is punk or not. i for sure dont. i like the music i listen to, and this thing about bands supposedly sounding the same, is all bullcrap because every band has its own distinct sound.

okay..you are in a punk rock forum..and you say you think punk rock is crap, did you honestly think you wouldnt get bashed?? punk rock is not a way for untalented people to get famous, it is a way for a emssage about society to get out into the public. you are probably just p*ssed bc you tried to go punk but got called a poser or whatnot. now, if you like good ol classic rock and stuff, i cant argue, that stuff is great, but so is punk. punk is musical freedom. it breaks free from what everyone else thinks of as music. there are a lot of talented people out there playing punk music. there are several bands out there that play a lot of HARD music, with different layer of sound. BTW not EVERY abnd has their own distinct sound, whoever said that. thats bull. ever heard of cover bands? better yet, have you listened to the radio? all those heavy rock songs or w/e ever all sound the same "death im going to f`in slit your throat and kill your mother 666 ahhhhhh" that stuff is kinda scary..heh.. anyways back to what i was saying, just bc you cant appreciate punk rock doesnt mean it isnt good. my dad owns a sound company so i know a lot about what good music sounds like, whether somethin is hard to play, stuff like that. maybe you are just being too closed minded to understand it.
btw where did the old people go? ive been here awhile, just under different sns...haha

Bryan, you suck. The statement you made about punk rock couldn`t be any further from true. Punk isn`t untalented people getting famous. It`s a way of life and a state of mind. The music just goes along with the lifestyle. Wearing a mohawk or a Black Flag shirt doesn`t make you punk no matter what all of the TRL fanatic fa99ots say. Oh, and by the way the word "poser" doesn`t make punk a bunch of bull5hit. I mean the word can fu(king apply to anything really including skateboarding, "heavy metal"(isn`t that funny",etc.I don`t know what your beef is w/ punk, maybe you got the 5hit kicked out of you by some punks because you like talking 5hit, or maybe you wish you were punk but you can`t seem to pull it off w/ out being called a poser. Whatever your problem, FU(K YOU DUDE!!!

Does everybody who writes on this message board live on the moon? You want punk? The Libertines are not the closest thing that we`ve got to punk; they are punk. Maybe not the same style of guitaring and angry vocals used by the legendary Clash and all the rest (you know em), but punk is about rebellion, non-conformity and unpredictability. The Libs have got all these things in abundance, and though the end appears not to be too far away for the band, their music will be remembered, not only for its brilliance, but for starting a revolution that needed starting to get us out of the stale mod-rock rock-pop pop-punk punk-pricks thats been rammd down our throats everywhere we go for almost a decade.

yeah i agree with mick, this whole "punk" idea is right out of hand, and really, blink 182 suck now. and anyway, i love punk rock from late 80s/early 90s. that was a better time than now. and people follow blink and sum41 anyway, so it cant be stopped. but, seeing as everyone likes rnb (sadly) nobody gives a damn
