Tool is one of the most predictable bands ever, & for you to think theyve pushed their music further than anyone ever has proves you dont know much about music - Try the Cure or even Joy Division or Floyd, as mentioned above.. Hell, the Beatles pushed themselves way further than Tool
Tool doesnt leave their little comfort level of having the same style on every album. They dont take any real risks or surprise people.

I'll admit that I used to be a Pearl Jam hater (mainly cause I hate Even Flow and Daughter, and that's all the stations around here used to play), but after giving a bunch of their albums some listen throughs in the past couple months, I've realized that they're a pretty good band who I'm hoping to catch in concert sometime this year (although where I am ticket prices are outrageous). They have some songs that are genuinely great, like

Just to name some of my faves. But they are sure as hell not the greatest band of all time. Judging by the way you type I'm pretty sure you've been around here before under some different names, and I'm not getting into a certain grunge argument with you, but there are better bands out there right now and certainly there have been in the past. And I've listened to both Pearl Jam and Stadium Arcadium, and Arcadium is better in my opinion, although they're both fantastic albums.
Oh don't worry, I wouldn't take anyone with a name like zeppbeat seriously... You're obviously heavily influenced by popular culture & I wouldn't be offended by anything you have to say. With a name like Zepp, you consider whats most popular to be better, thats for sure.

Avacado1, despite his semi-good tastes in music (yeah, I'm a Pearl Jam fan too, but I don't hate every other band on earth) is expressing them in one of the most immature ways possible; he's provoking others and their tastes. Therefore, give him the isolation he needs. If he's this obnoxious in real life, he'll be used to it.
How can you think Pearl Jam are better songwriters and musicians than Pink Floyd? All their songs are about the same grungy angsty bullshit. Also the members of Floyd are masters of their instruments whereas Pearl Jam are merely passable. Go listen to the solo in Comfortably Numb and tell me Dave Gilmour is noit a !***** great guitarist.
